The Big Surf City
Tamarindo is perhaps the most popular surf beach in all of Costa Rica. It has become a thriving city with many shops, restaurants, hotels, condos and homes. Just South of the main beach is Playa Langosta, which is growing into a high end neighborhood. There are many gated communities in and around Tamarindo. Some of the best gated communities are Crystal Sands, Tamarindo Heights and Tamarindo Preserve.
